Regency provided Construction Management at Risk services to the Ashtabula County District Library for the renovation and expansion of their Geneva Branch Library. The project created much-needed upgrades throughout the facility to meet community needs as well as increase the number and types of educational spaces offered, as the library welcomes a large number of students who attend school across the street.
This project added a new teen area featuring gaming stations and three study rooms, a makerspace featuring 3-D printers, a reception area and new office, a demonstration kitchen, a multipurpose community room, laundry facilities, a vending machine area, an interior reading porch, upgraded restrooms, and storage spaces. Existing restrooms and a children’s room were renovated within the original library space.
Upgraded mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sprinkler systems were included in the project’s scope of work, as well as new structural, concrete, entry, and sitework components including an outdoor reading plaza. Additionally the library’s roof was replaced as part of this project. The library provided new flooring, furniture, finishes, and technology equipment throughout the finished space.
