Regency Construction Services, Inc. served as the General Contractor for the renovation of the Cleveland Clinic’s Head and Neck Institute Center of Excellence at Hillcrest Hospital. Included in this project’s scope were a waiting room, reception area, seven exam rooms, a clean room, a bio-hazard room, two bathrooms, and one audiology section which features new paint, electrical upgrades, and data upgrades. In addition, five doors were upgraded with electronic hardware for security card access.

The reception area included selective demolition of existing millwork, partial removal of the end cap of the desk to increase space for mobility, and new flooring in high traffic walking areas. Countertops were laminated and new millwork in the reception area were also added. Three new wall mount computer stations were installed in the hallway and exam room to provide nurses with compact working stations to better serve patients.

Regency converted an existing exam room into a new clean utility room. Positive air pressure was required and a new supply fan was tied into the existing HVAC system. Additionally, an existing closet was renovated into a new soiled utility bio-hazard room which now features additional wall and door, new millwork, and two security card readers. A new exhaust fan was exhausted to the roof and the room required negative air pressure. The existing sink was reused.

The team installed a sterilizer in the SPD sterilization department as well as completed plumbing and electrical upgrades for the 2x2 scope washer. The audiology section included only the installation of new carpet.
