Regency served as Construction Manager at Risk (in association) for the vertical expansion of The Critical Care Pavilion for The MetroHealth System. As an extension of the Level 1 Trauma Center, The Critical Care Pavilion serves patients with life-threatening conditions and provides ample space for families to gather to support their loved ones.

The expansion created two ICU floors of approximately 35,000 SF, a new roof that accommodates two helipads, an interstitial mechanical floor from the existing roof levels, an extension of the existing stair towers, and upgrades to elevator, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The clinical areas and departments of the hospital remained fully occupied for business operations and patient treatments during the renovation and expansion work, requiring close adherence to ICRA protocols.
