Regency Construction Services, Inc. served as Construction Manager at Risk to construct a new transportation office, maintenance bays, and other improvements to support Woodridge Local School District's transportation department and bus drivers.

Regency served as the Construction Manager at Risk to construct a new transportation and maintenance garage for the Woodridge Local Schools. Previously, the transportation department worked out of temporary facilities and needed a dedicated space to maintain and wash vehicles, to store equipment and materials, and to train and gather. The new space provides transportation staff—especially bus drivers—a place where they can relax and recharge between routes

Our project scope included constructing a pole barn which housed a maintenance bay, wash bay, mezzanine storage, offices, restrooms, and a training/conference room. The garage design accounts for the proper drainage systems needed to catch residue and oil from school buses and other vehicles. Regency also installed PVC liner on the wash bays to keep the area watertight.

Regency’s carpenters self-performed the majority of the work to construct this pole barn structure. In addition to constructing the building itself, Regency carpenters completed the mezzanine framing, metal siding, metal roofing, gutters, windows, interior framing, doors, frames, and hardware, drywall, and acoustical ceilings.

Regency also worked closely with the district to maintain transportation department operations during construction by cordoning off the construction zone, maintaining traffic flow for school buses, and coordinating deliveries around school hours.
