Regency Construction Services, Inc. served as the Owner’s Representative for the Woodridge Local School District construction program – including the construction of a new elementary school, middle school roof replacement, and high school gymnasium addition.

Regency provided Owner’s Representative Services on this $33.5 million program. The project scope included combining two existing elementary schools into one new 123,750 SF Elementary building to serve approximately 900 students in grades K-5. The two-story facility includes a 21st century learning environment providing flexible classrooms and collaboration spaces, a library, cafeteria, main gym, and auxiliary gym. The gyms are pre-engineered metal buildings. The new elementary school has a Cuyahoga Valley theme throughout, given the district’s proximity to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Regency provided parallel budget estimates as well as provided project cash flow projections throughout the project design stages.

The program also included a 17,830 SF addition to the existing High School, which included a new pre-engineered metal building gym, new restrooms, a concession stand, locker rooms, and additional parking. The team also replaced the roof on the Middle School.

Regency worked closely with the architects, construction manager at risk, and engineers to keep the school district leadership informed about the project progress. This included advocating on behalf of district leadership to ensure the project met timelines, stayed on budget, and maintained school district objectives.

Regency also conducted Construction Academy for Woodridge Local Schools students to engage them in the process and expose them to careers in design and construction.
